These terms cover the Intelligence Network Telegram bot (@intelligence_network_bot), the daily digest, and this website. By using them you agree to these terms.
The service
Intelligence Network combines readings contributed by volunteers with official public data for Illinois. It is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, and it may change or stop at any time.
Your contributions
- Send only what you observed or measured yourself, as accurately as you can.
- Don't send false or misleading readings, or anyone else's personal information.
- You keep ownership of your readings. You give Intelligence Network permission to store, analyze and publish them in the pseudonymous and aggregated forms described in the Privacy Policy, including after you stop contributing, unless you delete them with
/forget confirm.
Fair use
- No spam, and no automated posting other than the documented
/signalJSON format. - Don't try to manipulate trust scores or events, for example with several accounts.
- The network may rate-limit, suspend or remove sensors that break these terms.
Reusing the network's data
You may reuse the daily digest and the data files published on this website, with attribution to "Intelligence Network". Official data included in them remains subject to its publishers' terms (National Weather Service, Iowa Environmental Mesonet, U.S. Geological Survey, USDA NRCS, National Drought Mitigation Center).
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of Intelligence Network are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the service.
Changes
Changes to these terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
